According to various news platforms, India is becoming the fastest growing smartphone market where buying and selling is becoming part of life for every Indian. India’s data usage per smartphone is also the highest in the world with 9.8 GB being used per month. It is also said to double to around18 GB around 2024. Visionary Leader of Modern Skill Development “Dr. Rajendra Kumar Joshi” Passes away at 85

Bhartiya Skill Development University Jaipur bid a tearful adieu to its mentor and Chairman, Dr Rajendra Kumar Joshi. He was a great role model and a legend who worked every single day of his life for the betterment of the country and the youth at large. Passing away of Dr Joshi is a huge loss to our country. He was a tall leader ever willing to help others and will always be remembered for his service to the people. He was no doubt, a source of inspiration to many who came in contact with him. May God give him eternal rest and the family the strengths to bear the pain.

Dr. (Brig.) Surjit Singh Pabla, Vice Chancellor, Bhartiya Skill Development University said, “We are deeply saddened by this tragic loss. Dr. Rajendra Kumar Joshi was an innovative and visionary leader who, above all, not just founded but lived RUJ Group’s core values with a true passion. His commitment towards bringing Swiss skill excellence into Indian education system creating a culture which will be sorely missed.”

Furthermore he added that Dr. Joshi developed and brought Swiss Dual System of skill development to India by establishing Bhartiya Skill Development Universitywhich is changing many lives.  At the age of 85 where he had everything that one could ever hope for, he was on an extraordinary spree of establishing new ventures only to benchmark India against the best in the world; be it, skill development, dairy products, precision tools manufacturing, turnkey electrical project deployment or woodwork.”

While Dr. Joshi was an iconic scientist, exceptionally well known in Western countries, he had deep love towards his motherland which brought him back to Rajasthan where he invested heavily by establishing RUJ & SRM Private Limited, RUJ Food Industries Pvt. Ltd., Bhartiya Skill Development University, RUJ Elecon Pvt. Ltd., RUJ Woodcraft and RUJ Skill School.

“His innate drive to create excellence, and his vision for bringing excellence in skill education is what is driving Bhartiya Skill Development University to become the best place for acquiring skills,” said Dr. Pabla.

Bhartiya Skill Development University is organising a tree plantation drive on Saturday, the 5th of October,at its campus in Jaipur. Students and faculty will plantover 300plants around the Campus. Students will then be assigned as guardians of one tree each wherein they will have to look after these plants as they grow and make sure that the plants are being watered regularly and cared for.

Dr. Rajendra Kumar Joshi was committed to continuously invest to ensure that students get exposure to best of machines and mentors from all around the world.

He was honoured with many prestigious awards. To name a few, Swiss Friendship Ambassador – (Vocational Education Training) by Swiss Ambassador, Andreas Baum; Federal Councillor, Ignazio Cassis and Mrs Ruchi Ghanshyam, Ministry of External affairs of Swiss Embassy, New Delhi on the 10th of August 2018 and PRAVASI BHARTIYA SAMMAN Award by the President of India for his “outstanding achievement in the field of science and in recognition of his valuable contribution in promoting the honour and prestige of India”.  The award was presented by the Indian Ambassador in Switzerland on 28th March, 2019.

The best tribute to his immortal soul can be paid in the Gita Shloka:

 ‘’YOGASTH KURU KARMANI SANG TAKTYA DHANANJAYA, SIDHI SIDHI SAMO BHUTWA YOG UCYATE”

 

He was true Dhananjaya or Arjuna as he followed the lord Krishna ‘dictum to work selflessly without caring for success or failure which is the highest order of Yoga.

After a large number of minor measure, the government announced a bold and major measure to revive animal spirits.
